Audio Connection was born from Josef's passion for audio. A long time hobbyist and collector he soon found that there was no outlet for the quality of audio equipment that he, and many others, desired. So, in 1987 Josef opened Audio Connection at its original location in the Sydney suburb of Bankstown. Since that time Audio Connection has grown to be arguably the premier supplier of both high end audio and home theatre equipment in Australia. Today, Audio Connection services customers all over Australia with Josef maintaining his passion to give our customers the very best products the world has to offer.

Bill El-Sayed

Retail Manager

Bill has been involved in the hi-fi and electronics industry for over 25 years. His search for the perfect sound and passion for high-end audio led him to Audio Connection, where he joined our team 7 years ago. Having owned and operated his own hi-fi franchise business in greater Sydney, Bill continues to bring his management experience, love of music and knowledge of hi-end products to the retail floor.

Janson Lau

High End Audio Consultant

Janson has devoted much of his professional career to working with and advocating his ardour for high-end audio. He has been on the Audio Connection project for over ten years and holds a great depth of knowledge in turntables and two-channel stereo. Although a classical enthusiast, his appreciation of music is far from limited to this genre. Janson is also multilingual and fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese Vietnamese and Thai.

Joseph Istanbouli

High End Sound and Vision Consultant

Joseph had been working in the AV industry for three years before joining Audio Connection in 2000. Starting on the sales floor he soon developed fervour for customising audio visual components. His product knowledge, attention to detail and interest in electronics has evolved along with the industry over the past decade. As a result, he is now involved in operations in both our sales and custom installation departments. Joseph's love for music as well as his youthful and enlightening perspective on the realm of audio-visual equipment enables him to think outside the box; a quality that runs simultaneously with the Audio Connection philosophy.

Over the past nine years Theo's attention-to-detail has greatly contributed to the day-to-day supply and exchange of Audio Connection's products. As Logistics Manager he is the middle-man we rarely hear about, but is the crucial part of the chain that implements and controls the efficient flow, storage and dispatch of products for the Audio Connection team and our customers.

Adam Merlino

General Manager

Adam has been involved with both Josef and Audio Connection for most of his life. His background includes manufacturing, wholesale, IT and electronics. He, of course, shares the passion for quality sound and vision which are integral to the operation of Audio Connection. He currently operates the Drummoyne branch of Audio Connection and maintains the high level of service expected at Audio Connection.

Peter Wilson

Audio Visual and Home Automation Consultant

From a simple stereo system to a full home automation and entertainment, there aren't many areas that Peter doesn't know about. Rick Schulze

High End Audio Visual Consultant

Rick has two degrees under his belt: a Bachelor of Science (economics and business admin) and a Bachelor of Arts (psychology), but it was his hobby of hi-fi which he ended up pursuing after his studies. Rick ran his own hi-fi shop in Cremorne for 5 years, managed a Bose dealership and other hi-fi stores before joining the Audio Connection team in July 2006. He brings with him a love for two-channel audio as well as experience in home theatre and installations

Bill Panagopoulos

Custom Install Manager

Billy had been working in the AV industry for several years before joining the Audio Connection team in 2000. Having worked his way through the sales department he has recently taken on the new position as Installations Co-ordinator. Billy's product knowledge and experience in construction makes him the ideal candidate for this role. From day-to-day he is engaged with all aspects of installation and follow-on support, and never fails to ensure positive results and a smooth delivery of services on Audio Connection's behalf.

Joes interest in electronics sparked several years ago, coincidently when Adam Merlino (GM) installed a system in Joes own home. This insight into the AV industry flared into much more as he realised that this was the career path he wanted to travel. He was in the trade for 5 years before joining the Audio COnnection Team. His drive and determination have brought him back to where it first began; with Audio Connection, who are proud to have him onboard our Custom Installation Team.
