Overview

Like all our amplifiers the 911 MK 3 is a stereo amp. However, all Burmester stereo amps can easily be bridged into mono operation using external mono adapters. Also, with bi-amping adapters a pair of amps can drive speakers in bi-amping mode.

The new MK 3 version distinguishes itself from its predecessor mainly by its completely re-designed output stages. On the outside it is identified by the looks of its silver anodized housing including the heat sinks. All older MK 1 and 2 versions can be upgraded and receive a new factory warranty. An upgrade entails exchanging the circuit boards of the output stages against the new hardware modules of the MK 3. Furthermore, the interior wiring is completely upgraded to Burmester SILVER for signal-carrying connections. Our new pure silver speaker wire (8mm²) is used for connecting the output boards with the binding posts. The upgrade does not change the housing color, however.
