Overview
We are happy to announce the introduction of a new vacuum-tube stereo power amplifier: the VS55, with a rated output of 50 watts per channel. The VS55 makes a wonderful companion to the recently introduced SP16 preamplifier. Together, these exciting new companion products enable you to assemble a true Audio Research music system at a more reasonable cost.

POWER OUTPUT: 50 watts per channel continuous from 20Hz to 20kHz. 1kHz total harmonic distortion typically 1% at 50 watts, below .05% at 1 watt. Approximate actual power available at "clipping" 52 watts (1kHz). (Note that actual power output is dependent upon both line voltage and "condition" i. e.: if power line has high distortion, maximum power will be affected adversely, although from a listening standpoint this is not very critical.)

RISE TIME: 5 microseconds.
HUM & NOISE: Less than 0.2mV RMS - 100dB below rated output (IHF weighted, input shorted).
