CD 3800 is first of all a CD player, incorporating a modern digital servo system for safe and low jitter readout.
It is compatible with all type of CD: CD, CD-R, CD-RW, hybrid SACD (CD-layer).
The whole DAC circuitry of CD 3800 is completely balanced and thus also provides balanced XLR outputs in addition to the standard RCA outputs.
True balanced circuits provide lower noise and distortion, as well as double slew rate. Combined with true balanced amplifier this operation mode provides the best sound quality.
