Most subwoofers deliver slow, boomy, bass because they are made from paper or inferior plastic. At Newport Audio, we believe in speed and accuracy, and we achieve this through the use of superior engineering and materials.

To deliver our acoustically accurate bass reproduction, we start with the baffle. While the industry standard is plastic, all of our baffles are milled aluminum. The weight and rigidity are milled aluminum. The weight and rigidity of the aluminum is essential for the delivery of tight, accurate bass.

The Newport Audio GOLD SERIES Subwoofer houses our proprietary dual 8.5” curvilinear aluminum drivers with an inverse mounted neodymium magnet structure. This unique configuration allows us to drastically increase our driver’s excursion, while still being able to fit in a standard 2X4 stud wall. This configuration translates to unrivaled performance and unmatched output.

Newport Audio offers a revolutionary line of highly engineered in-wall and in-ceiling loudspeakers. To accomplish this they contracted with the engineering team at California Audio Technology (CAT). CAT is an industry leader in designing and building ultra high end custom loudspeakers systems that can cost over $1 million dollars. Newport Audio does not follow the status quo of the in-wall speaker industry, which is to simply re-label off the shelf technology. Instead, together with CAT, they design, engineer, and manufacture all of their proprietary audiophile grade components. By eliminating unnecessary middlemen and excess marketing, Newport Audio is able to deliver products that are far superior to the market at any price point.
