Overview
The SE 845 amplifier uses the legendary 845 triode in a pure class A monotriode configuration. In this sense it follows the path traced out by the SE300B,which is to say, the search for un paralleled musicality.
The SE 845 design is in response to the demands for natural and dynamic musicality., and the technical choices for this amplifier have been made with this requirement in mind. For the 845 triode to be effective, it needs an incoming signal of high amplitude under low impedance : The ECC 83 double triode ensures the gain in tension, while the 6SN7 ensures the impedance adaptation between the driver stage and the power stage.
The internal wiring is that of conventional wiring for all the stages dealing with the signal, while a printed circuit ensures the power supply for the whole unit.

About the brand
Jadis was created by André Calmettes, sharing his passion : the design and realisation of tube amplifiers intended to give the most accurate musical reproduction, ignoring all costs and difficulty. This passion - at times overriding the demands of sleep and leisure - resulted in the creation of prototypes that produced a sensation in audiophile circles.
Jadis amplifiers and preamplifiers represent the ideal amplification system for all acoustic loudspeakers, whatever the load, the functioning (whether electrodynamics, electrostatic, or isodynamic) and the efficiency. They have marvellous dynamics from the bass to the highest treble, and a total lack of coloration, including the kind that tube electronics are usually accused of.
